Karting has now grown into a massive sport which has many adaptations on the original theme as a 'Thrills n' spills' bit of fun. It is now a lot more flexible than most other motor sports but it has managed to retain and combine all the elements of any other professional racing sport. Karting has already established itself as the first rung on the ladder to motor racing success and here at Aptec we would like to help you up even further.

From endurance through Cadet to the very top level racing Aptec have always been able to provide a service. We have coated thousands of 2-stroke cylinders using our Ceramic 2000 coating.

Aptec are keen to be ahead of the field in coating technology, and that's where we want you to be too. That is why we have researched and perfected our piston coatings which include:

200 MS is a polymer based coating which offers excellent non-stick and dry slide properties which offers superior wear, corrosion and heat resistance in even the most harsh conditions.
Apticote 800 creates a thermal barrier onto the base material by spraying the coating onto the surface. The wear of piston would be greatly increased and the wear and scuff resistance would also be raised.
